Objective
The purpose of this study is to test a set of surveys designed to determine how well Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) are helping people to achieve person-centered outcomes. HCBS are services that help people with disabilities or older adults to live in the community and are paid for by Medicaid. Person-centered outcomes describe what is important to the person receiving the services and the life the recipient wants to live. We have developed a set of surveys to determine if people are living the life they want, and how well HCBS are helping people to do that. You will be helping to see if the surveys measure what they are intended to measure.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
- Are a current or former recipient of HCBS
- Live in the United States
- Are 18 years old or older
- Speak and understand English
- Have access to the internet or a phone
You can complete the eligibility survey here:
If you are eligible to participate, you will:
- Participate in a one hour Phone or Zoom consent meeting
- Complete two, one-hour long surveys about your daily life and your experience with HCBS over the course of two to nine months via Zoom, phone or online
- You have the option to complete additional surveys
Please note: Accommodations are available.
